In commemoration of World Breastfeeding Week 2025, Micronutrient Laboratories Ltd is proud to join the global movement to promote, support, and protect breastfeeding.
From August 4th to 6th, 2025, we’ll be celebrating this important week at the Lagos State Child and Maternal Hospital, Ogombo, alongside healthcare professionals, mothers, and the wider community.
Our theme for this year’s World Breastfeeding Week, “Enabling Breastfeeding: Making a Difference for Working Parents,” underscores the need for supportive policies and environments that empower mothers to continue breastfeeding while balancing work and caregiving responsibilities.
Why Breastfeeding Matters
Breastfeeding is more than a biological process—it's a powerful act of love and a fundamental building block of a healthy society. It provides infants with the ideal nutrition, strengthens immune systems, and fosters emotional bonding between mother and child. For mothers, breastfeeding reduces the risk of certain cancers and supports postpartum recovery.
